Lewis turned down Top Gun

Buy Michael Schumacher's Ferrari, Danny Ric's getting PAID, Mattia says no changes needed...

Hello world. This is F1 Scoop. Question: would you rather have David Croft or Arlo White commentate your life?

Lewis's lavish lifestyle

By most estimations (which never end up being very accurate), Lewis Hamilton is worth about $285 million USD. He's also world famous. This comes with some very nice perks we found out this week:

  • He joined Walmart heir Rob Walton's ownership group of the Denver Broncos.

  • Lewis is also friends with Tom Cruise and turned down the chance to be in the new Top Gun. As a pilot...

Fortunately for those who want more acting from Lewis after seeing Cars 2, he's working on an F1 flick with Brad Pitt.

Daniel Ricciardo could have a record tax year

If he didn't live in Monaco, of course. McLaren intends to replace the Honey Badger with another Aussie, Oscar Piastri, next year. But his contract isn't up. So Daniel's demanding $21 million to leave.

On the sponsor front, Daniel just signed another a new 2-year deal with Australian telecomm group Singtel Optus. Even if he does leave McLaren, Daniel's one of the top 10 Aussies on a platform I'd never guess. LinkedIn.

Track talk

Singapore's Marina Bay Circuit is going to be a playable map in the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game. It's coming out October 28. The CoD Twitter account even had a little fun with the announcement, poking fun at the Piastria/Alpine fiasco.

Start checking hotels and flights. Leaked documents show the Las Vegas Grand Prix going down on November 18. That could make it the penultimate (fancy way of saying second last) race of the season and therefore, critical for championship points. Assuming Max hasn't locked it up already.

Mattia says Ferrari's all good

u/mencival on Reddit

In the team boss's own words, "There's nothing to change." The Tifosi? Not so much. Even former Ferrari foreman Cesare Fiorio says heads need to roll. Cesare isn't gunning for Binotto though. He thinks strategy chief Iñaki Rueda needs to go. He even went as far as to say Rueda's never positively impacted a team he's worked for. Ouch.

Michael Schumacher's 1998 Ferrari is up for auction August 18-20. Expected price: $8 million. Schumacher only raced in this car 4 times. He won all 4. It won't be the most expensive car at this auction. Far from it actually. There are 5 other Ferraris that could go for more—including another race-driven one. A 1955 410 Sport Spyder expected to fetch $25-30 million USD.

Current F1 teammates face morphed together. As expected, Lesainc is the most handsome. Ricnordo looks exactly like he sounds. Alocso gives Lesainc a run for his most handsome money. Albifi is the kind of guy who helps you change your tire on the side of the road. And Vetroll... well you'll just have to see that for yourself.

Meme podium

That's all folks. Send F1 Scoop to your friends. If you have any. I sure don't.
